Mayobridge Catholic Church-
St. Patrick's
on the main road between Warrenpoint and
Rathfriland
A chapel was built here in 1806, on the site of a former Mass
Rock, at a cost of £1,000 which was defrayed by subscriptions.
It was described in 1836 as a stone, roughcast, whitewashed building
in the shape of a T, capable of holding 1000 people with an average
attendance of 1,400. It was rebuilt in 1868 by Father John Brennan
and dedicated by Dr Leahy on 12 Oct 1862.
